Fashion is always evolving and never stays motionless.
When a couturier designs clothing for music artists, iconic television personalities, or movie stars it makes a giant impact on what people wear. Take for example Kim Kardashian who launched the Polarized Slim Mirror Shield Celebrity Sunglasses last year, PUMA & Rhianna’ FENTY fur slides, Miss Italy Rachele Risaliti showing off her crown and her stunning Joseph Ribkoff dress. And let’s not forget Ray-Ban that saw their sunglasses sales spike after the release of the movie “Men In Black”.
Besides the fact that the fashion industry is valued at $3 trillion, it employs tens of millions of people. Fashion is something that is part of our everyday life- it impacts several spheres of our lives. The clothes that we choose every morning, say a lot about us and how we feel on a specific day. For example, if we go for a job interview, wearing black would be a safe choice, but if we chose a radiant pink, it can scream boldness and confidence. Even people who say they don’t care about what they wear make a choice when it comes to the garments they buy. Fashion is omnipresent in our everyday lives in so many ways!
Why Fashion matters?
1- Self-expression through fashion
Fashion reveals a lot about you! Call it stereotype or typecast, it is how many people view others. For instance, a businessman might look at a woman wearing a Joseph Ribkoff’s skirt and find her elegant, or at a business women wearing a Frank Lyman jacket and find her trendy.
“Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak.” – Rachel Zoe
“You can have anything you want in life if you dress for it. ” — Edith Head.
“Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world.” — Marilyn Monroe.
Fashion is a language which tells a story about the person who wears it. Clothes create a wordless means of communication that we all understand. It is a nonverbal way for people to express themselves.
2- It impacts others in a positive way.
People who dress well and follow the latest trends are more noticed than those who do not care about their clothes and styling. People are impressed by those who have their own unique style. Being fashionable, bold and stylish can help you impress your date or the person who is interviewing you for a job.
Dressing well is just like having a great smile. It will always give a great first impression!
3- It improves your attention to detail
When the way you dress matters to you and you start paying attention to what you are wearing, you will also tend to notice details in other areas of your life. This includes the quality of others work and most importantly, the quality of your own work.
4- Fashion is a mood lifter.
Every woman would perhaps agree that a little bit of retail therapy is a great way to release one’s self from everyday hassles.
Going to a store to find the perfect scent from a great iconic brand such as Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle Eau De Parfum as advertised on Frank Lyman perfume page or picking out dresses that makes them feel amazing can be a huge mood lifter.
